The romance with Food.....

Hi...

This is probably my first post of 2016….

Wish you all a fantastic new year !!

Few days back, I meet one of my very old friends from Patna. He is an Automobile engineer by profession and works with country’s leading Automobile Company. We sat together for some time and came to know that he is having a very serious love affair……. Yes a very serious and sincere love affair.

My dear readers don’t get carried away …… this affair is not with any one of his college friend at Bangalore neither she is any charming n gorgeous colleague at Gurgaon.  In-fact he is having Romance with the FOOD.

Yes, the Food…. Food is one of the basic necessities. But for him…. This food is something different,,,, infact this is his Sweetheart, his Passion and probably his life also. My friend has a nice set up of food catering at Patna. He enjoys helping/serving people and always  take that extra step to bring smile on their guests' face (in hotel, we treat our customer as Guest…. Athithi devo bhawao). He relish the taste of food, when his guests appreciate the meal.

So you would be thinking, what’s wrong here …. ?
He is passionate about food and he is having a food – service setup…. He should be more than happy.

Exactly, even I think the same…….

But, there is a problem (as there is a twist in most of the Love Stories)….. He loves his native cuisine most and he is little disappointed to learn that the delicacies of cuisine of Bihar is not available in different parts of the country.(He has travelled through the length & breath of the country)
He had a copy of Bhansaghar (my latest book that is exclusively written on the cuisine of Bihar)

http://www.amazon.in/Bhansaghar-first-Shakesh-Singh/dp/9352351517

and shared his desire to have an food outlet, where he would have his favorite dishes in the menu.  While tuning pages, he went into the old menories of his Childhood...... I could easily see his saliva  when he rolled his tongue over his upper lips while going through the Bhuna Maans.
I have his expression alive with me, when he made zero with his thumb and index figure, eyes closed, and uttered WAH …. This is LITTI…. My all time favourate dish.

He is the most passionate person, I ever met. He insited that he would be having these traditional dishes of Bihar and also some of his favourate biryanies, kebabs and curries from the Lucknow (Awadh).

I am sure, like my friend  even you would be willing to taste these delicacies……

I will definitely introduce you all with my friend and also share his Romance……….  and may be his future plans in my next post.

Thank you and Take care.....
